« on: April 18, 2010, 11:28:00 PM »

Gday guys,
i was wondering if anyone knew where i could get a fairing or bubble top from a clubsprint. Ive looked everywhere and i cant find anyone who stocks them or sells second hand ones. I would also like to know what price i would be looking at. Any help would be much appreciated.

SSV in Australia has the "Clubsprint" version of the Capote cover.

How do the bubble tops attach? I'd ultimately like to add one on my XR2. I like the look but is there any benefit from a back draft perspective. Also does this have to be removed when the top goes back up?

They attach to the rear cover.  You can operate the soft top as you normally would - there is no reason to remove the Bubble top to put your soft top up or down. You cannot use the bubble top with a hard top!!
There seems to be less wind noise/buffeting with these installed.  Also, you can place a thick newspaper on the rear seat, and it will not blow all over the place, unlike not using one!

(check yer email russ) The weather was beautiful this weekend!! Today I got the windows tinted in the rocket, and while my bud was doing the tint, I went ahead and installoed some 80 watt alpines in the doors, with top wattage at 260!! As soon as russ gives me his paypal account info and I can send him some $$$, then I can cover up the rear, then I'll get the rear seat out and install some subs and an amp, thought I'd get ahead of myself, the new speakers will be able to handle the new tunes when installed!! Hope ya'llo s week end was fun and productive.
