I am looking at a 90 Dodge Daytona Shelby Turbo for my son and it says that it has white smoke at idle and runs a bit ruff when driving. I am thinking maybe a seal on the turbo or the turbo is shot. would that normally be white smoke? its a girl owner in excellent shape and only asking 700. when she emails me back we are gonna go see it. just want to know what people think the white smoke it. i figure it runs bad under boost...i will test that theory when i get a chance.

If it's a seal on the turbo, I wouldn't buy it. Because the problem with the owner. If the girl is so stupid to put a seal on her turbo I'd be careful, because everybody knows seals swim in the water and get eaten by great white sharks, so there may be flood damage. Just thought I'd help.

White smoke either coolant or unspent fuel. If it is fuel you will smell it.
