I had always said I would be willing to pony up some of the $ necessary to have direct photo upload here, but the best answer I got was that it was complicated.  So it is what it is.

The forum needs to be updated. New forum software natively supports direct image uploads. I've been pushing very hard to get it updated, but every time we make a bit of progress, Anthony seems to drop it. I know Ant is very busy these days, but upgrading is a hands-off kind of thing.

I have a guy lined up that is way more than willing to take care of everything, and has the proper credentials to boot... All Anthony has to do is hand over a few bits of information to him and we're good to go. I'm not really sure what the problem is?

Hoping for Progress

Matt, this is Anthony's site.  If anthony wants to upgrade, he will.  I am sure he appreciates your enthusiam and willingness to help, but don't forget, this is his site.  He should have a say so in how the site will look and what it will do.  I personally don't see a problem, but that may be because I am old.  Even though it may not do what you want it to do, maybe it is what Anthony wants it to do.  For those who want to post pics of their cars, there is a gallery section.

I know I am going to sound like an asshat here, but I don't think I am the only one who thinks this way (who knows maybe I am the only one) This is a great Capri site which has served me well and other Capri owners over the years.

I am afraid if everyone starts posting their own pics, the bandwith of this site will be filled with non-Capri pics, causing it to be more expensive to maintain, and loose it's Capriness.

These are my two cents, and you may spend them any way you like.

This is a great site but the forum software is horribly outdated and it results in information being very hard to find sometimes. I cringe when it comes down to me using the search function. It downright blows. Having to wait like 3 minutes while it searches through each section and then finding nothing and having to do it twenty times with something different...you get the idea.

I'm sure Anthony will get around to it - he always has.  As to pics Bob, I think you can limit the size of the pics you post so that folks will have to limit their density before they go up.  Pardon the pun Matt, but this is no longer rocket science.  There is a lot of stuff out there these days that allows pics.
