i picked theese up from a buddy this evening... the bigger one is a mitsubishi 14b.(the same turbo im running on my capri) from a first gen DSM turbo..

the second is a garret t-25 from a second gen auto. DSM turbo..

both turbos have minimal shaft play.. but both will need to be resealed/rebuilt...
(nick has a problem with oiling them wrong and blowing out hotside oil seals)
his mistakes become our gains...both are dirty and need some tlc before they will become serviceable on your car... im posting theese to see whos interested, and would rather work out trades for them than sell them outright... but money talks and bs walks too... so let me know if you want one, and what you would gimme for one...

I have 2 hybrids I'm working on now. 2 stock spares and one off of a GNX I'm playing with. Don't know what I'll do with that.

I think my Harley is becoming lonely I haven't spent the weekly $50 on it in a while!

vj-11 and 11-14 hybrids dont make any power...
they dont even flow enough air to push all the way to redline..
and a gnx turbo, if its a true ta-49 for the intercooled GNX..is a 600+ cfm turbo and the capri wont even spool it till like 5500 rpm thats why its on a 3.8 litre v-6...
and if its a stocker from a (hot air) car. its only 390 cfm
the mitsu 14b makes 405 cfm and has a hot side that will allow boost at 4000 and not 5500-6000 rpm like that giant garrett will...
besides a garett from the mid 80s.. is not nearly as efficient as a mitsubishi from the early 90s..
turbo technology took a huge leap forward in those years... things such as impeller and exducer fin profiles and journal bearing technology made huge advancements...

i dunno this is a cheap way to get into a turbo that will make good power on our cars with better technology...Joe...rcicustoms

Saying a B6T cant spool a GN turbo is like saying a ford 2.3 cant spin a Holset. Its not all just which motor it is, or which turbo.

Yet a friend of mine gets 26 psi out of an HX35 by 3000 rpm, with a fairly stock 2.3 ford, in the 350-400hp range.

I run a "small" T3 on my BPT, .42/.48 from a Saab, 45 or 50 trim. I get 15 psi around 3000-3500. I believe that turbo is good for around 400 cfm.

14b is a perfect turbo for this car, runs 14-16psi stock on the 1g eclipse all day. spools fast & 300 hp

I really wish I had a dollar for everytime you said the 14b is the "perfect turbo"

I'd be freakin rich by now

Also, I haven't seen anyone running 300hp on them - Joe claims 220hp @ 18psi on one but he has no dyno charts.

I do agree with Brad that Joe's comment above is pretty far off-base

300Hp on eclipse all the time. Its a small but very efficient turbo. Made for 2.0L so its not too aggressive on a 1.6l

1G DSM were 215 stock, you can get 250-300 with just basic bolt on and fuel mods with no ECU tuning. I dont think his numbers of 220 would be far fetched and the turbo can handle it easily. guys run 18-20+ PSI on them before maxing them out.

Honda guys are using the DSM T25 & 14b's putting over 200hp at like 8lbs of boost.
