I had the car dyno about six month ago the guy said I am getting 80 kw at the front wheels and it boost to 12 psi I borought the car about five years ago the hose that go down to the waste gate had a spitter on it one to the waste gate the other has a valve in the end which go out to the open air

MJ,

The car is FWD. No power to the back wheels.

The car will hit boost cut at 10-11psi. Try removing the boost controller from the wastegate line.

12psi will make the engine cut if the boost cut switch is still there (which it should be, unless you are running a chipped ECU)

Sorry it's fwd l have had too many rwd cars.
I took the spliter off the hose so there was only the one that went to the wastegate and it ran crap if the wastegate is not working fully is it a simple change or is there an aftermarket one that will fit and if so can it help performence.

Also what else can l do to my car to give it a kick along

Cheers MJ

If it ran like crap at high boost, and then at stock boost, it is not a wastegate or boost issue. The car is running like crap due to something else.

You aren't being real descriptive of the actual problem though

You've had the car 5 years - has it always run this way? What has changed?

Yes, l have had the car about 5 years and l dont run it very hard. However every now and then l give it a little bit.
As for the problem with boosting, l am not sure what is causing it at times. l've had full boost and it goes pretty hard but for most of time it boosts a little. l can hear the boost and see the guage show boost, but there is a lack of power or may another way of looking at it is the turbo is fully boosting but there is something stopping the the power. Could the dizzy have a intermiten fault which is a motor problem, not turbo problem? Or something like the knock sensor? l just want to fix it but do not know where to start (I am not a machanic.)

Thanks MJ
