SAD NEWS MY TRANNY (AUTO) BLEW UP TODAY I NEED ADVICE ON WHAT TO DO I HAVE NEVER REBUILT A TRANS DO I NNED TO REBUILD TRANS OR BUY A REBUILT IM SO UPSET MY TOY IS BROKEN  :(    :(

If you have never rebuilt one I wouldn't recommend learning now. By the time you are done with it the cost of a rebuilt will just about come flush. See if anyone here has one for sale.

i can get it rebuilt for 1500 with a 12 month 12000 mile warntty thats what im gonna shoot for   :(

I'd opt for a jumkyard replacement at that price, can you do the work yourself?

To me automatics are magic little boxes that I despise, I won't go near them lol.

i might be able to do the work myself but i never have i have just read how to servel times im a bit nervous about trying if i do it there is no warn if i pull out of the driveway and it comes to peices 100 yards from the house   :(

i  went to the tranny shop today. i saw the shark all tore apart i hate to see him that way. the diff gear blew out they could not even find some of it   :rolleyes:  i also had a broken left axel 1800 large to do the job a deal to me seeing as it looks like one big ass headach. i took a few pics

god, I know where there is a 93 automatic sitting in a yard and the guy has called me about 6 times and has came down to around 350.00 delivered! My first 92 N/A, I bought with a bad 5 speed and it took 3 months to find one locally, (100 miles away in Seattle). Seems like  a life time ago.

well it has been a lifetime sence i put the 91 in the shop it has been over a month and they are on there second auto trans both came to SC from Calie both junk maybe this friday i get to enjoy my 91 2000 bucks later  :mad:

Well pay attention with cars costing well into the 10's of thousands 2 grand to get ur pride and joy cherry again is a deal....if u divide the cost of the repair by the service the car has given u it might be about a dollar a week
