What is that all about?  I probably won't bid on it anyway since there seems to be such a food fight over these things - something that really doesn't add to the performance or value of the car.

So to my way of thinking, it is already over-priced after the first bid.  However, if it is your post, there's no harm in letting us know here - it is simply good business.

Mark- I always figured that if the listing belongs to you, then mention it....that way people can ask questions without jumping through all the hoops on eBay.

These are nice little models of our cars. And they are the only die-casts ever made of a Capri. I bid on this one, but it is already more than I want to pay for one not sealed in it's original package. Besides...I already have 5 of them!!

My educated guess is that this auction will close around $75. I'm going to keep watching it, out of curiosity!

Hey, this is Capris for Sale right?, doesn't say what size...this is unusual in that the car was not marketed as a Capri, no name on the model or packaging, you just have to know by looking at it...I guess Road Champs has changed hands and are not really in business anymore, they made their mark in making the 1:43 police cars, one for about every precinct and highway patrol in the US, mostly Crown Vics with different paint and decals...very popular...Chris

They are SUPER rare, I have been looking for over a year and this is only the second one I have seen for sale. I even contacted the company that now owns the Road Champs brand and they don't have any old stock of any of the original "Flip Top" series cars, Capri or otherwise. I wouldn't pay that much for one, but it would be a nice piece to add to my future Capri memorabilia collection.

I don't want to throw cold water on anyone's enthusiasm.  I agree they are nice, but in the 35 - 50 dollar range.  After that, it just doesn't make sense to me.

I'd rather be spending the money on lodging for one of my many touring drives that make Capris fun for me.  But good luck to the rest of you - I hope you get one!

Chris- No worries! We were just saying......

I'm not sure which is rarer= the 94 XR2s, or these! And I'm being serious! These are almost impossible to find, and even harder to find in the package. I've seen them sell for upwards of $200.
