Trans mounts
« on: July 05, 2014, 08:53:45 AM »

Im going to be repairing my forward and rear trans mounts with some window weld Polyurethane. I will post pictures and let you all know how it goes, considering that its impossible to find these mounts.

Those mounts are readily available. Check some more. The urethane fix is good but remember you will feel much more vibration.

As Clay said the mounts are readily available. The front can be repaired with window weld, but the construction of the rear makes it impossible to fill - once separated there's no glue that will hold it together. (it's two plates with rubber in between)

The only tricky one to find is the rear auto trans mount. Russ has them for sure, though

Yeah, I saw it one of his on eBay for a bit more than I wanted to spend. A junk yard near me (50 miles) has one for $17 I'm just worried that its going to be toasted.
