Title: sway bar end links
Post by: 010sambo on January 08, 2016, 05:13:40 PM
I'm rebuilding the front end of my 92 xr2 and
I can't find anyone around locally
That sells the rubber grommets for my sway bar
End links. Has anyone found a cross reference to a like for like part
Maybe a kit or something, thanks for your input. I really need to get this jewel back on pavement, my 95 f150 is drinking me dry while she sits patiently .

I think I got mine from auto zone.  BTW you can run the car safely without the bar, most automatic capris never had them installed at the factory...

Energy Suspension end link kit  # 9.8122 is the part you're looking for.

I got some from Russ, but they were too long and much too large in diameter.  I also got the bushings and they were too large in diameter.  Don't know what the problem was.

The part #mentioned from energy suspension online says it's 2.55" I measured my old ones and the bolts are 4" long
Comparing the diameter and length Should I order part # 9.8125 or 9.8117.

The sway bar end link sets are not measured by the bolt length.

Kit #9.8122 measurement of 2.55” is for the distance between the control arm and the sway bar. After you add the outer 5/8” top and bottom bushings, nut, and washers, the assembly will be over 4 inches long.

The bolt length of kit number #9.125 will be over 6” and will swing your sway bar ends into the axle.

Thanks chrispoe ,
Advance tried to cross reference some from a mazda. The bolts and the bushings were larger in diameter.

Found the receipt, I put Duralast SL255HD on my 93 xr2, different diameter but fit great, less than $10/side at autozone...
