DO YOU HAVE TO SCREAM IT!!!!!!

Ahem...I am sorry to inform you that the overstock special is no longer valid. I tried calling them about it a few months ago and they told me they would no longer honor that special.

Really? That is probably true, but if it's been a few months, might want to try again. It seems from what I've read in the forums with people getting it that it's either an on again/off again type deal or depends who you get on the phone...

then again, it could be due to the Hitachi, TOKICO and Hitachi Unisia merger... from may 25, 2004...

I believe they updated their website so it no longer has that deal as an option so they wont honor it now.

I am considering Tokico rear struts for my '91 XR2.  Question I have is are they narrower than the stock rear struts.  I have a set of sweet 17" wheels and tires that just barely rub the stock rear strut.  So are these struts narrower?

They are the same dimensions as stock. You can pound the spring seat and try to bend it out of the way a little or try cutting a small hole where you have the interference.

From the photos, the spring seat on these seems flat unlike the "cup" style that the stock one has.  Its that "cup" that I'm rubbing.

It is. I'm pretty sure the spring seats are just about identical. I know that when I was running my stock suspension with 17's they didn't rub, but when I changed to Tokico struts with H&R springs they started rubbing.

What were the dimensions of the 17's you were running?
